Built by people
who put dogs first.

We've built something that doesn't run on minimum effort. Every person here chose this — and it shows.

Our Story

Zoomie Zone

We didn't build this to be a standard kennel. We built it to be a genuine resource for owners who want their dog raised, guided, and cared for by people who actually know what they're doing.

Safety is the non-negotiable. Strict procedures are in place across every service, and they evolve as new situations arise. A facility like this doesn't stand still — and neither do we.

What sets this place apart is the staff. Not the amenities, not the square footage — the people. We hire people who push themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally to give every dog a better day. If you're looking for someone to just maintain the status quo, this isn't the right fit. If you want your dog somewhere people genuinely care, you're in the right place.

Safety Above All

Strict procedures are in place across every service. They're reviewed, updated, and enforced — not posted on a wall and forgotten.

Staff Who Choose This

Every person here thrives in this environment. We don't hire people looking for an easy shift. We hire people who want to be here.

Always Improving

A facility on the cutting edge faces non-standard challenges daily. We don't resist that — we're built for it.

Scott Nechemias

I have over 25 years of experience working with dogs, starting my career with NYCAC in 2001 managing intake evaluations and adoptions. While at NYCAC i completed the ABC (Animal Behavior and Conservation) MA at Hunter College. In 2009 I had enough of living in New York City,  moved to Oregon, and began working for A Dog Gone Good Place, now Zoomie Zone. Over the last 16 years I've been lucky enough to meet over 3,000 dogs, become their friends, and care for them in daycare, boarding, and training. In addition to attending behavior seminars and conferences on industry best practices over the years, I am constantly staying up to date on the latest in canine exercise health with the help of my spouse, who is a Veterinarian specializing in Orthopedic Rehabilitation at Dove Lewis Veterinary Hospital. We're definitely dog people.

Over the years my relationships with clients have spanned multiple generations of dogs in their famlies, often getting to know a dog starting from their second set of vaccinations through their entire lives. When I'm not working with your dogs, I'm usually hiking with my dogs in the high desert and mountains.
